The Incredible Hulk: Rampage! Java Game

incredible hulk java game I’ve been doing my best to keep up with the latest Hulk News, but I figured I’d let myself get taken up by the past. I recently read more about the old Incredible Hulk java game. Around 2005, Marvel mobile made an agreement with MFORMA to release a variety of games about super heroes like our green friend. In 2006, MFORMA released The Incredible Hulk: Rampage! and according to reviews, it was quite the hit.

I’ve seen a few sketchy websites advertise it for download, but I haven’t played it in a long time. If you have, I’d love to hear your comments! If you also have a reliable trustworthy link to the Incredible Hulk java game, share it too. I’d love to try it out myself.

Incredible Hulk Java Game Overview

incredible-hulk-rampage-mobileIn Rampage!, you get to control both The Incredible Hulk and the best doctor in the world, Bruce Banner. The point of the mobile game is to defeat The Leader. I’ve never though the Leader was a cool villain… The game will send you hurling tanks and solving puzzles in military facilities, parking lots, random buildings. I’m more of a puzzle guy so I really enjoyed the Bruce Banner parts where you must solve puzzles using keys and switches. I kept dying during the Hulk action parts. You may be able to throw cars, and jump far but it’s not much help to those with slow reflexes!

If I remember correctly, the controls were really good compared to most of the other mobile action games I had downloaded during that time.

The Incredible Hulk: Rampage! Review

One of my favorite aspects of the 2006 Hulk Mobile Game are the amazing sprites. If you compare it to the classic cell phone games like Pong and Snake, Rampage! was a god-send.

Everything taken into account, the game was a must have. The levels weren’t too hard. I am almost never able to finish video games, and I beat the Incredible Hulk: Rampage! I could have enjoyed a bit more challenging puzzles. I really wish I hadn’t thrown away that old cell phone.

Incredible Hulk Vs. Sailor Moon Painting

Incredible Hulk getting kicked by Sailor Moon

Tom Thewes, aka DerLam on DeviantArt, made this amazing painting of the Incredible Hulk getting kicked in the balls by Sailor Moon. Thewes currently lives in Detroit and is the big boss at ©POP Gallery. He’s known for making really cool high def paintings and murals of superheroes like the Incredible Hulk. He named this painting GRRRLpower!!! (Wrath). It was made using aerosol enamel, airburhsed acrylic, toner and a bunch of other stuff. It is the fourth piece in his DEADLY sin series.

I always though the Hulk had balls stronger than steel. Would a kick by Sailor Moon really hurt him that much?

New Hulk Comic Releases (March 3, 2013)

There isn’t too much happening this week in terms of real Hulk comics. Instead, the new Avengers has been release, but I still haven’t really begun to follow the 2012 Avenger series. There’s also a new publishing of the Young Avengers. I really hate the kiddy comics, and I’d love to know if you actually enjoy this series in the comments bellow!

YOUNG AVENGERS #1

Young Avengers #1 (2nd Printing)

Legacy isn’t a dirty word… but it’s an irrelevant one. It’s not important what our parents did. It matters what WE do. Someone has to save the world. You’re someone. Do the math.

The critically acclaimed team of Gillen/McKelvie/Wilson (with added Norton Sauce) decide to reinvent the teen superhero comic for the 21st century, uniting Wiccan, Hulkling and Hawkeye with Loki, Marvel Boy and Ms. America. No pressure. Young Avengers is as NOW! as the air in your lungs, and twice as vital. It’s the book that knows Hyperbole is the BEST! THING! EVER!

Guess Who Was Behind the Classic Secret Wars?

If you guessed Marvel or Bruce Banner, you’re wrong. Ratchet, the man with the biggest Hulk collection on the internet, wrote a really cool blog post about the original Marvel event: the Secret Wars. I know I have admitted it elsewhere, but I began to love Bruce Banner because of the 1996 cartoons. I have only recently been able to muster the money to build a comic collection. I don’t even want to think about the time it will take me to match Ratchet. Hence, my only encounter with the fabled Secret Wars is the Spider-Man cartoons from the 90s.

In any case, Ratchet explains why Marvel began the Secret Wars. Much like the cartoons from that era, Marvel decision was based on one thing: selling toys to kids and teens. Mattel approached Marvel with a strategy to sell toys: start an event named the Secret Wars and put all the coolest super heroes in it. The toy line didn’t do so good, but the first Marvel event was born. It would be the first of many. In any case, I suggest you read Ratchet’s article to learn more about Mattel and the birth of the Secret Wars.

No New Planet Hulk Movie, Gonna Have to Stick with Animation

Planet Hulk Animated Movie ScreenshotIt’s officially been declared a few days ago that there will be no new Planet Hulk movie by AICN. The rumors started at the Latino Review has been effectively hulk smashed. I’m not going to say that I am horribly disappointed. As a big fan of original Planet Hulk movie, I hope that this hype has brought it some more attention. I’m kind of hoping that for Avengers 2, they decide to infect Hulk with a virus and reenact the events of World War Hulk… The background story

In any case, it seems like the main issue lies with Marc Ruffalo. The new Bruce Banner has signed a contract for 6 years with Marvel, and would not be able to be featured in Planet Hulk. Why? If you haven’t read the comics or watched the Planet Hulk movie, the reason is that Bruce Banner is simply not featured in that story arc. Dr. Banner is so pissed off from being shot off into space that he simply remains in Hulk form the whole time.

In any case, for those who are whining, just pick up the animated movie. It’s worth the watch and you’ll get your new Planet Hulk movie. Any more you have not yet seen is new in my book.

Just Got The Incredible Hulk [Blu-ray]

The Incredible Hulk Blu-rayI recently won a blu-ray player, but I don’t own any blu-ray movies. I don’t even own a single DVD! So while I was browsing, I discovered The Incredible Hulk 2008 Blu-Ray Movie was on sale and bought it. It’s a lot better than Ang Lee’s 2003 version and I still don’t know why anyone would ever want to watch that one… Leterrier’s The Incredible Hulk is million times better. Even though, I have always hated Edward Norton at least he is still much better than Eric Bana as Bruce Banner. Still, both are no match for original Dr. Banner, Bill Bixby.

The Incredible Hulk 2008 Movie Review

Even though this isn’t a continuation of Ang Lee’s Hulk movie, the Incredible Hulk 2008 begins with Dr. Banner hiding out in South America. As usual, Bruce is constantly looking for new ways to potentially cure his green anger problem. On the hand, General Ross and his army are trying to develop a new super weapon to destroy the Incredible Hulk which results in Emil Blonsky turning into the Abomination. It’s obvious that there isn’t much depth to this movies plot, but I prefer an action packed Hulk flicked then a whiny Hulk flick. If you’re looking for action, then this Incredible Hulk movie will not fail you.

The Incredible Hulk Blu-Ray DVD

Incredible Hulk 2008 Blu-RayUniversal really did a good job with this Hulk Blu-Ray a.k.a The Incredible Hulk Green-Ray. It might just be because it’s the first blu-ray dvd I watch on my new player, but the image is really beautiful. My only complaint is that the Incredible Hulk and Abomination CGI’s look a bit cartoony. What really made me happy is all the extras Universal added to the Blu-ray disk. I’m not even 100% sure that these are included in the Incredible Hulk DVD. It includes cool stuff like an audio commentary by director Leterrier and Tim Roth. I kind of wish Norton had joined the cast in the commentary because it would of been cool to learn more about his views on playing Bruce Banner and the controversial cut scenes. There are a total of 3 half-hour behind the scenes features. My favorite is the clips about creating the Green Hulk and Abomination CGIs, but the Anatomy of a Hulk-Out was quite interesting as well. I really love learning about how to get a scene ready for action sequences. Lastly, there are the almost pointless deleted scenes and a small CGI animated comic.

On the actual Green-Ray version which I sadly did not purchase, there are also a few extra features that would have definitely influenced my purchase. Oh well… I feel like the only thing I would of really liked to play with is the Scene Explorer which enables you to look at the storyboard, raw footage, production text and more.

If you want to learn more about the Incredible Hulk DVD, you can always check out the millions of user reviews on Amazon.com

By the way, who else has a huge crush on Liv Tyler?

The Bruce Banner Song – Sally Robos

Two sisters called Kiersten and Stephanie, Sally Robos on Youtube, made this really cool fan song about Bruce Banner. It kind of makes him out to be a bit more emotional then I believe he truly is, but that’s just my interpretation of the man behind the Incredible Hulk. Also, I thought Bruce Banner lives in a cabin in the wild so that he could avoid people, not a manor! In fact, in my nerdy opinion, they might have made more than just one mistake in their depiction of Bruce Banner. Either way, the song is cure and I’ve listened to it way too much.

I’m not going to lie. The song scared me at one point, so be prepared to jump.

The Bruce Banner Song Lyrics

My Name is Bruce Banner
I’m usually in my manor
I’m really one of the nicest guys
But I have a secret that’s too big to hide

Today I’d like to raise a family
But no house is big enough to hide me
If my kids ever threw a fit
Well, that would be the end of it

So going back to my big secret
It all started when I got hit
With an experiment
That ran away
And quickly changed my DNA

Wish I could be just an ordinary scientist
But now if I get angered, even in the slightest
This flash of light
And my close get tight
And they think I might

ARGHAGSADGSAHHHHHHHHHh
ATRHGASHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ARHGHAHHHHHHHHHHHH
ATAHGASDHSDHSAH

That’s what I was talking about
I just cannot let my feelings out
I try to be more of a wall flower
But it’s hard when you are nothing but raw power

Join the Avengers would be a dream come true
But I think it’s something I can not due
Maybe they will treat me with love and kindness
Or maybe they will be left cleaning up my mess

I might have gotten the lyrics wrong, but just comment bellow if you can’t sing along

World War Hulk: X-Men Review

Hulk World War: Hulk X-Men ComicsI decided to pick up a few of the World War Hulk comics after reading that Joe Carnahan wants to do a World War Hulk Movie. I had to choose between the actual World War Hulk books or World War Hulk: X-Men. I picked up the later because I was hoping to get a glimpse of my second favourite Marvel character, Gambit. Sadly, he did not appear in the issue… At least, I wasn’t expecting to see the Green Goliath transform back into Bruce Banner!

In 2007, three issues were released for the X-Men World War Hulk mini-series. The story was written by Christos Gage and drawn by Andera Di Vito. The duo also worked together for Civil War: House of M mini-series in 2005. I really like Di Vito’s drawing style. It’s very cartoonish. Of course, the occasional scene is sometimes a bit sketchy, but overall the art work is amazing. Laura Villari does great work colouring the panels as well!

Storyline

Incredible Hulk fights X-Men and Profess XavierIn World War Hulk: X-Men, the Green Goliath seeks out Professor Xavier. The Worldbreaker a.k.a. Green Scar a.k.a. the Hulk wants to know whether Xavier would have voted against his exile from Earth. Yet, the X-Men do not trust the Incredible Hulk. They believe the Green Scar wants to kill Professor Xavier! This means that for three whole comic books, you get to see the Hulk fight almost all the top X-Men! I’m surprise how witty the Incredible Hulk is! I actually chuckled a few times while reading the books.

I really don’t have much negative things to say about the World War Hulk: X-Men mini-series. The art is good, the story is really fun but I guess the ending is a bit disappointing…

World War Hulk Vs Emma Frost

Emma Frost losing a fight against the Incredible Hulk

If you have been keeping up to date with the upcoming Avengers Vs X-Men news, the Incredible Hulk was shown confronting Emma Frost in an Avengers Vs X-Men preview poster. I was surprised to discover that the Green Goliath had already fought the White Queen! In World War Hulk: X-Men #2, Bruce Banner’s alter ego defeats Emma Frost by shoving her into the ground while she is in diamond form. She is only able to flee because the Green Scar is not only fighting her but almost every other X-Men at the same time! If you haven’t read World War Hulk: X-Men mini-series, I suggest you check it out now!
