Best Hulk Comic Writers Of 20111

The bloggers at ifanboy.com have written down a list of the best comic writers of 2011. I’m amazed that three past or current writers of various Incredible Hulk comics have appeared on the list.

Jeff Parker

The first Incredible Hulk comic book writer to appear on this Best of List is Jeff Parker. He got seventh place for his work on the Hulk and Thunderbolts comics. His webcomic Bucko was also a factor in his appearance on the list. I haven’t read it yet but I seems decent after a quick glance. I guess you can’t really say that Jeff Parker works on storyline’s involving Bruce Banner because the current Hulk comics are focused on the Thunderbolt Ross and the Red Hulk.

Brian Azzarello

Brian Azzarello took fifth place. He appeared on the Best Comic Writers of 2011 list because of his work on the Vertigo and Wonder Woman comic book series. Mr. Azzarello has never really worked on any Hulk comic book series, but he did produce the Startling Stories: Banner mini-series in 2001. I’ll have to pick it up and give it a review sometime.

Jason Aaron

Jason Aaron snagged second place for his work on Scalped, Wolverine, Incredible Hulk and more! I guess with all the comic book writing that Jason Aaron does, it’s no wonder why he was placed so high on the 2011 comic book writer list. Last year, Aaron released 55 single issues of comics! If you’ve been following the current Incredible Hulk volume 3, you have read some of Aaron’s work. It’s still debatable whether he is doing a good job or not because only four issues have appeared so far. Personally, I like Bruce Banner acting as a crazy villain! I just hope he isn’t killed in the next Incredible Hulk comic book releases.

Special Mention: Mike Mignola

Mike Mignola ranked 8th on IFanboy’s top comic writers list. He has never written a Hulk book in his life, but he has produced some old Incredible Hulk comic covers.
