She-Hulk’s Father
Sheriff Morris Walters is the father of Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters. Jennifer will later become the She-Hulk due to Bruce’s actions. Morris never played an important part in Bruce’s life.
The Childhood of Morris Walters
There isn’t much information available about Morris Walters during his youth. The only snippet of data available is about his relationships with his family. As a child, Morris did not have a good relationship with his sister Cassandra Walters. This is partly because his father had always favored him. This small amount of enmity remained throughout the rest of their lives.
Morris Walters, L.A.P.D.
It isn’t known when Morris joined the Los Angeles Police Department. While still a county deputy, Morris did have a few problems with James David. James was similar to Brian Banner. He was an alcoholic with a temper problem. In any case, Morris became the sheriff of the Los Angeles police force. The local crime boss Nicholas Trask was his biggest enemy. He often taunted Morris who kept trying to bring the criminal scum bag to justice.
Elaine, Jennifer and Morris
Morris Walters married Bruce Banner’s aunt Elaine. Together, they had a marvelous baby named Jennifer. During her childhood, Morris encouraged her to become a police officer but Jennifer could care less about working for the L.A.P.D.. As a teenager, Jennifer decided on becoming a dancer. Morris was appalled by the decision. Elaine was happy that her daughter was thinking for herself instead of being influenced by her father. However, Jennifer’s decision lead Elaine to her death. On the night of Jennifer’s dance recital, Elaine was killed by a drunk driver. However, the real culprit behind the death was Nicholas Trask. He admitted to the crime during Elaine’s funeral. He sent a letter to Morris Walters claimed to be behind the murder. As a result, Jennifer decided to quit dancing and help her father fight crime. She decided to study law and graduated with honors. Morris was very happy about this.
Morris Walters vs. the She-Hulk
Jennifer became involved in a law suit against Nicholas Trask. Numerous attemps on her life followed resulting in the death of her best friends and Jennifer’s transformation into the She-Hulk. Yet, instead of Nicholas Trask being accused, Morris Walters was lead to believe that She-Hulk was to blame. Unaware about the real facts behind the murder, Morris vowed to bring the She-Hulk a.k.a his daughter to justice! This vow is given up when he finally get’s evidence that the She-Hulk had been framed by Trask.
Life Goes On
The rest of Mr. Walters life’ is plagued by fights with Jennifer, ‘evil’ girlfriends and criminals. When Jennifer decides to give up her life as a human and become a full-time superhero, Sheriff Morris Walters is disappointed. He blames himself and believes it could of been avoided if he had been a better father.
